What is going on in your shower?
Every day, your shower is pummeled with valley water that is high in minerals with bleach added from the municipality. Add to that bar soap, shampoo, conditioners, body oils, and you can see after a while your shower will start needing some maintenance. If professional cleaning is deferred for years, then a professional restoration may need to be in order.
How can we help?
We have a cleaning product line specifically designed to safely treat the soil conditions present in the shower. Our products will help emulsify soap scum residue and body oils combined with a special steamer to help cut through heavy build up.
While it can be a challenge to clean off water spots caused by calcium in the water, we have the right solution by using a low speed polisher and hard water cream. This will bring the luster and shine back to your glass and tile.
What about missing grout and stained caulking?
Hard water combined with cleaning solutions containing bleach and acid will eventually cause the grout to erode leaving some areas vulnerable for water intrusion. We find after about 10 years, the average shower is due for a regrout. Also, many problems occur from trapped mold or mildew behind the caulking. This typically occurs because the grout has lost its sealant and water is migrating behind the caulking, where it stays trapped. Our cleaning and restoration technicians can regrout and recaulk your shower, therefore bringing it back to its original glory.
Its time to protect your shower
After the cleaning process, we can seal the grout with either a clear or color sealant. If you have a porous stone or ceramic tile, we can apply an impregnator to protect your stone from scale and soap scum. Other areas of attention we can also address are missing grout and failed caulking. We can attempt to color match your existing old grout, or even better, color seal the whole shower so all the grout looks the same! Caulking can be a pain for some people, but not for us! We can provide complete caulk removal and replacement, with our premium siliconized caulk that is easy to apply, clean up, and outlasts the competition.
